| Lugo, fue la única
población de Galicia que ostentó el rango
de convento jurídico durante la denominación
romana. De entonces datan sus murallas, con un perímetro
que rebasa los dos mil metros y numerosos cubos semicirculares.
A pesar de las reformas constituyen
el mejor recinto amurallado romano de la península
por lo que fue declarada Patrimonio de la Humanidad.
En la orilla del río Miño, cruzado por
un puente se conservan dos salas de unas termas, también
de origen romana.

Lugo, was the only town in Galicia which had the
status of capital of a legal department during the
Roman rule. Its walls date from that time having a
perimeter of two thousand metres and several semicircular
turrets.
In spite of the later restorations, they are the
best kept wall from Roman times in Spain and were
declared World heritage site. Also from that time
is the bridge which crosses the River Miño
and two halls belonging to a thermal spa on the riverside.
